Our Story
Born From Lived Experience
In 2024, our founder Senitria Hampton Monk and her family faced homelessness after a house fire. Despite having resources and professional knowledge, finding suitable housing was still an overwhelming challenge.
That experience made one thing clear: if it was hard for us, it's nearly impossible for families without the same tools and connections. That's why KC Transitions exists.
We bridge the gap between crisis and long-term stability — providing safe, short-term housing and guiding families, veterans, and youth through complex systems like insurance claims, recovery processes, and community resources.

With 25+ years of combined experience in real estate and insurance adjusting, we don't just offer a place to stay — we offer advocacy, structure, and a clear path forward.
